Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ALX005 is a preclinical-stage, long-acting bispecific antibody designed to target neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) and human serum albumin (HSA). Developed by Ailux (a subsidiary of XtalPi) using an AI-powered biologics platform, ALX005 is engineered to treat pathogenic IgG antibody-driven autoimmune diseases, such as generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG), chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP), and immune thrombocytopenia (ITP). By combining potent FcRn blockade with albumin-mediated half-life extension, ALX005 achieves deep and sustained IgG clearance with minimal FcRn degradation, allowing for less frequent dosing. It is planned to enter Phase I clinical trials in 2027.
