ALXN1910 is an investigational drug developed by Alexion Pharmaceuticals (now part of Alexion AstraZeneca Rare Disease) for the treatment of bone disorders characterized by poor bone mineralization. It functions as an inhibitor of tissue-nonspecific alkaline phosphatase (TNSALP), also known as alkaline phosphatase, tissue-nonspecific isozyme. The drug was designed to address conditions where patients have weak bones due to insufficient deposition of minerals in the bone matrix. Clinical studies included Phase 1 trials in healthy adults to assess safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics via both subcutaneous and intravenous administration. Development has been discontinued following completion of early-phase clinical trials.
