Overview
**Alysen Probiotic** is an orally administered multistrain probiotic dietary-supplement product evaluated as an adjunct to bismuth-containing quadruple therapy for *Helicobacter pylori* infection. The studied formulation was reported to be primarily composed of *Bifidobacterium animalis* subsp. *lactis*, *Bifidobacterium longum* subsp. *infantis*, *Lactobacillus rhamnosus*, *Lactobacillus salivarius*, and *Lactobacillus plantarum*. Its intended activity is microbiome modulation and support of gastrointestinal tolerance during eradication treatment rather than direct antibiotic activity against *H. pylori*. In a randomized controlled study registered as ChiCTR2200056446, adjunctive use was associated with reduced gastrointestinal symptoms during bismuth quadruple therapy.
