Overview

AM-928 is a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets the epithelial cell adhesion molecule (EpCAM, also known as CD326), a tumor-associated antigen widely expressed on various cancer cells. By binding to EpCAM, AM-928 inhibits its cleavage and function, thereby suppressing tumor growth and metastasis. Preclinical studies indicate that it can attack cancer stem cells and prolong survival in animal models. The drug is being developed by AcadeMab Biomedical for the treatment of advanced solid tumors—including head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, colorectal cancer, esophageal cancer, lung cancer, pancreatic cancer—and is currently in Phase I clinical trials. It is administered intravenously[1][2][3][4][5].
