**AMA1-DiCo** is an investigational recombinant protein-subunit malaria vaccine designed to prevent *Plasmodium falciparum* malaria. It contains three diversity-covering recombinant variants of *P. falciparum* apical membrane antigen 1, a polymorphic parasite protein involved in host-cell invasion. The multivariant antigen design aims to induce broadly cross-reactive anti-AMA1 antibodies against genetically diverse parasite strains. AMA1-DiCo was evaluated in a completed randomized Phase 1a/1b study in malaria-naive European adults and malaria-exposed African adults, administered intramuscularly with either GLA-SE or Alhydrogel as an adjuvant.
