MR-301 is an intravenous (IV) formulation of amantadine hydrochloride being developed for the treatment of severe traumatic brain injury (sTBI). It is designed to potentially reverse the effects of sTBI and improve cognitive functions in patients who are in minimally conscious and/or vegetative comatose states. The drug is administered through IV infusion with a dosing regimen that starts at 100 mg and escalates to 200 mg as maintenance dose, given twice daily for up to 3 weeks.
