AMB-201 is an investigational adeno-associated virus (AAV) gene therapy developed by Ambulero for the treatment of critical limb ischemia (CLI). The therapy utilizes a clinically tested AAV vector to deliver and over-express the gene for E-selectin (a cell adhesion molecule) directly into ischemic tissues. By increasing E-selectin levels, AMB-201 aims to restore damaged vascular tissues and promote repair in ischemic limbs, particularly in patients with diabetic co-morbidities who are at high risk for amputation. It is currently in preclinical development as part of a pipeline of E-selectin-based therapies for vascular diseases.
