Overview

AMB402 is a camptothecin-derived topoisomerase I inhibitor payload developed by Aimed Bio in collaboration with GeneQuantum Healthcare. It is designed as a platform payload for use in antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) rather than as a standalone therapeutic candidate. The molecule functions by inhibiting DNA topoisomerase I, which prevents the religation of DNA strands during replication, leading to double-strand breaks and subsequent apoptosis in tumor cells. AMB402 is a key component of Aimed Bio's ADC platform and is utilized in candidates such as AMB303, which is co-developed with Samsung Biologics. It is currently in the preclinical stage for the treatment of various solid tumors.
