Ambrosia acanthicarpa pollen is a biological allergen extract derived from the pollen of the Ambrosia acanthicarpa plant, also known as flatspine bur ragweed. It is used for both the diagnosis of allergies through skin testing and for treatment via allergen immunotherapy. Allergen immunotherapy involves administering gradually increasing doses of the allergen extract to desensitize the patient's immune system.
