Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Kufril is a fixed-dose combination oral syrup manufactured by Med Manor Organics, primarily used to treat productive (wet) cough and chest congestion associated with respiratory conditions such as bronchitis, bronchial asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It contains three active ingredients: ambroxol, a mucolytic agent that thins and loosens thick mucus; guaifenesin, an expectorant that increases respiratory tract fluid to facilitate mucus clearance; and terbutaline, a beta-2 adrenergic receptor agonist (bronchodilator) that relaxes airway smooth muscles to improve airflow. Some formulations also include menthol for its cooling and soothing effects on the throat.
