AMC

AMC is a specifically designed Chinese herbal formula investigated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) with hyperlipidemia. It has been shown to significantly alleviate hyperglycemia and hyperlipidemia, and to shift the gut microbiota structure in diabetic patients. AMC notably increases the abundance of beneficial bacteria such as *Blautia* spp. and *Faecalibacterium* spp., which are correlated with improvements in glucose and lipid homeostasis. Compared to metformin, AMC demonstrated better efficacies in improving homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) and plasma triglyceride levels, and exerted a larger effect on the gut microbiota.
