Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Amdokitug (Yisaituo) is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting interleukin-17A (IL-17A), developed by 3SBio Inc. as a Class 1 innovative biologic. It was approved by China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in February 2026 for the treatment of adult patients with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis who are candidates for systemic therapy or phototherapy. The drug functions by selectively binding to IL-17A, thereby blocking its interaction with the IL-17 receptor complex and inhibiting the pro-inflammatory cascade responsible for skin lesions and joint inflammation. Clinical data indicates a rapid onset of action as early as Week 2, high rates of complete skin clearance (PASI100) at Week 12, and a favorable safety profile with very low immunogenicity. Amdokitug is also undergoing Phase III clinical evaluation for ankylosing spondylitis and non-radiographic axial spondyloarthritis.
