AMDX-2011P is a small molecule ocular imaging agent developed by Amydis for the detection and quantification of amyloid beta (Aβ) deposits in the retina. It is designed as a diagnostic tool to facilitate early identification of neurodegenerative diseases, including cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA), Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). The agent works as a contrast medium for retinal imaging, enabling visualization of pathological protein aggregates such as Aβ, α-synuclein, and TDP‑43 in the retina using standard ophthalmic imaging devices.
