Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ameflu Day Time is an over-the-counter, fixed-dose combination medication developed by RV OPV Pharmaceuticals for the symptomatic relief of the common cold and influenza. It typically contains acetaminophen (paracetamol) as an analgesic and antipyretic, guaifenesin as an expectorant, phenylephrine hydrochloride as a nasal decongestant, and dextromethorphan hydrobromide as a cough suppressant. Some formulations also include vitamin C (ascorbic acid). Together, these active ingredients work synergistically to reduce fever, alleviate minor aches and pains, suppress non-productive coughs, thin bronchial secretions to facilitate expectoration, and relieve nasal congestion. Ameflu Day Time is administered orally and is approved for marketing in Vietnam.
