Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AMFX-200S is a preclinical-stage supramolecular therapeutic peptide (STP) being developed by Amphix Bio for the treatment of ischemic stroke and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). The drug is composed of self-assembling peptide amphiphile molecules that form nanostructure scaffolds upon administration. These scaffolds are designed to mimic the natural extracellular matrix, thereby activating regenerative signaling pathways and providing structural support to facilitate tissue repair and neuroprotection. Unlike conventional targeted therapies, AMFX-200S utilizes a biomimetic approach to modulate the cellular environment rather than binding to a single specific molecular receptor.
