AMG-119 is an investigational autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy developed for the treatment of relapsed or refractory small cell lung cancer (SCLC). It consists of a patient's own T cells that are genetically modified ex vivo to express a CAR targeting delta-like ligand 3 (DLL3), a protein highly expressed on SCLC tumor cells but minimally present in normal tissues. The therapy aims to redirect cytotoxic T cell activity specifically against DLL3-positive cancer cells, offering a targeted immunotherapeutic approach. Early clinical studies have shown robust cellular expansion, long-lasting persistence, and favorable safety with no dose-limiting toxicities reported at tested doses[1][5][6].
