Overview

AMG 211 is a bispecific monoclonal antibody (BiTE) that targets both carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), a tumor-associated protein overexpressed in many cancers, and the CD3 complex on T cells. By binding to CEA on tumor cells and CD3 on T cells, AMG 211 redirects cytotoxic T lymphocytes to kill CEA-expressing cancer cells. This mechanism is independent of common oncogenic mutations such as KRAS or BRAF and has shown activity in preclinical models against various solid tumors including gastrointestinal cancers. The drug was developed primarily for the treatment of CEA-positive tumors such as adenocarcinomas[1][3][4][6].
