Overview

AMG 562 is a bispecific T-cell engager (BiTE) antibody construct developed by Amgen for the treatment of B-cell malignancies. It targets both CD19, a protein expressed on malignant B cells, and CD3, found on cytotoxic T lymphocytes. By binding to these antigens, AMG 562 redirects and activates cytotoxic T cells to recognize and kill CD19-expressing tumor cells through CTL-mediated lysis. The drug was investigated in phase 1 clinical trials for relapsed or refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), and follicular lymphoma (FL). However, development has been discontinued[1][2][4][5][8].
