Overview

AMG 794 is a bispecific T-cell engager (BiTE) antibody designed to target claudin-6 (CLDN6), a tight junction protein overexpressed in certain cancers, and CD3, a component of the T-cell receptor complex. Upon intravenous administration, it binds to both CD3 on T cells and CLDN6 on tumor cells, thereby redirecting T cells to attack CLDN6-positive cancer cells[1][2][4]. It was developed for the treatment of advanced/metastatic solid tumors expressing CLDN6, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC), testicular germ cell cancer, uterine endometrial cancer, and triple-negative breast cancer[3][5]. The drug was investigated in phase 1 clinical trials but development has been discontinued by Amgen[4][7].
