Amikacin + meropenem is a combination of two antibiotics—amikacin, an aminoglycoside, and meropenem, a carbapenem β-lactam—used together primarily for the empirical treatment of serious infections caused by Gram-negative bacteria, including multidrug-resistant strains such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
