Overview

ARIKAYCE (amikacin liposome inhalation suspension) is an aminoglycoside antibacterial medication delivered via inhalation. It is the first and only FDA-approved treatment for Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) lung disease as part of a combination antibacterial drug regimen for adult patients who have limited or no alternative treatment options. The medication works by preventing bacteria from making certain proteins, which prevents them from surviving and spreading throughout the body. ARIKAYCE is administered once daily using the Lamira Nebulizer System.
