Overview

**Amilomotide (CAD106)** is an investigational active immunotherapy vaccine developed for Alzheimer's disease, consisting of a virus-like particle (Qb) carrier coupled with a fragment of beta-amyloid protein. It induces antibodies against beta-amyloid to inhibit plaque formation in the brain. Developed initially by Cytos Biotechnology and later by Novartis, it was administered via intramuscular injections and showed serological responses in clinical trials but faced tolerability issues and trial terminations.
