Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Aminocaff Capsule is an over-the-counter (OTC) combination medication developed by Jinhua Enterprise (Ginwa) for the symptomatic relief of the common cold and influenza. It contains paracetamol (acetaminophen), an analgesic and antipyretic that reduces fever and pain by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system; caffeine, a methylxanthine stimulant that may enhance the analgesic effect of paracetamol and counteract the sedative effects of antihistamines; and chlorpheniramine maleate, a first-generation H1-receptor antagonist that alleviates allergic symptoms such as rhinorrhea, sneezing, and watery eyes. This formulation is widely used in China for treating symptoms including headache, fever, joint pain, and nasal congestion associated with viral respiratory infections.
