Overview

Aminogam is a Class IIA medical device formulated as a topical gel designed to promote wound healing and tissue regeneration, particularly in oral and mucosal tissues. It consists of a combination of sodium hyaluronate (hyaluronic acid) and four essential amino acids: glycine, L-leucine, L-proline, and L-lysine. The gel acts by providing a protective physical barrier and creating a biochemical environment conducive to fibroblast proliferation and collagen synthesis, thereby accelerating the healing of surgical wounds, ulcers, and post-extraction sites. It is developed by Errekappa Euroterapici and is utilized in various dental and oral surgery applications, including the management of bisphosphonate-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (BRONJ) and aphthous stomatitis.
