Aminogam Gel

Aminogam Gel is a topical medical device formulated as a gel containing high-molecular-weight sodium hyaluronate (hyaluronic acid) and a specific pool of synthetic collagen precursor amino acids, including L-proline, L-leucine, L-lysine, and glycine. Developed by Errekappa Euroterapici, it is primarily used in dentistry and oral surgery to promote mucosal regeneration and wound healing. The gel acts by stimulating fibroblast proliferation, inducing collagen biosynthesis, and promoting angiogenesis through the induction of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). It is indicated for post-extraction socket healing, alveolar ridge regeneration, and the management of oral lesions such as aphthous stomatitis and chemotherapy-induced mucositis. Clinical studies, including those by the University of Bari Aldo Moro, have evaluated its efficacy in improving bone healing and preventing complications like alveolitis.
