Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Aminoglutam is a food for special medical purposes (FSMP) developed by Errekappa Euroterapici S.p.A. for the dietary management of protein malnutrition. It is formulated with a high concentration of L-glutamine (7000 mg) combined with a specific cluster of essential amino acids and vitamins (C, B1, and B6). The product is designed to support protein synthesis, restore muscle mass in patients with sarcopenia (senile or neoplastic), and promote tissue repair in surgical wounds, burns, and pressure sores. It is particularly indicated for patients undergoing oxidative metabolic stress, cancer patients, and those with acute or chronic inflammatory-degenerative diseases. Aminoglutam is available in sachet and gel forms and can be administered orally or via enteral nutrition (nasogastric tube).
