Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Aminoven is a sterile, non-pyrogenic solution of amino acids designed for intravenous infusion as part of a parenteral nutrition regimen. Developed by Fresenius Kabi, it provides a comprehensive profile of essential, semi-essential, and non-essential amino acids, including taurine and tyrosine, to support metabolic requirements and protein synthesis in patients who cannot achieve adequate nutrition through oral or enteral routes. It is frequently utilized in clinical settings for patients with chronic conditions such as end-stage renal disease (ESRD) undergoing hemodialysis, as well as in post-operative or critically ill patients to prevent protein depletion and maintain nitrogen balance. The solution is available in various concentrations (5%, 10%, and 15%) and specialized formulations for pediatric use (Aminoven Infant).
