Overview

**Amivantamab + paclitaxel** is a combination therapeutic regimen being studied for use in recurrent or metastatic cancers, primarily head and neck squamous cell carcinoma and non-small cell lung cancer. - **Amivantamab** is a bispecific monoclonal antibody that targets both epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and mesenchymal-epithelial transition factor (MET), designed to block the ligand binding and induce antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC) against tumor cells expressing these receptors. - **Paclitaxel** is a chemotherapeutic agent of the taxane class that stabilizes microtubules and inhibits their depolymerization, thereby disrupting cell division and inducing cell death in rapidly proliferating tumor cells. Combining amivantamab with paclitaxel aims to exploit the synergistic potential of targeted therapy (amivantamab) and cytotoxic chemotherapy (paclitaxel) for enhanced antitumor efficacy. Current ongoing clinical trials are investigating its safety, tolerability, and clinical activity in platinum-naïve recurrent or metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, among other cancers[1][3].
