Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DWJ1451 is a fixed-dose combination oral tablet containing four active pharmaceutical ingredients: amlodipine (a calcium channel blocker), olmesartan (an angiotensin II receptor antagonist), rosuvastatin (an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor/statin), and ezetimibe (a cholesterol absorption inhibitor). It is being developed by Daewoong Pharmaceutical for the treatment of essential hypertension and primary hypercholesterolemia, as well as dyslipidemia. The drug leverages multiple mechanisms to address both elevated blood pressure and abnormal lipid profiles in patients at risk for cardiovascular disease. Clinical development has reached Phase III for dyslipidemias and hypertension[5][7].
