Amnio-Maxx is a human placental-derived tissue product, specifically a dual-layer amnion patch, developed by Royal Biologics. Categorized as a cellular, acellular, matrix-like product (CAMP), it is designed to facilitate wound healing in chronic and complex conditions, most notably non-healing diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs). The product utilizes the natural properties of the amniotic membrane, which is rich in regenerative growth factors, cytokines, and extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins such as collagen, fibronectin, and laminin.
