Amnioband is a biological wound covering developed by MTF Biologics. It is an aseptically processed, dehydrated human amnion/chorion allograft (dHACA) derived from the placental tissues of healthy donors. Composed of both amnion and chorion layers, it serves as a structural scaffold rich in extracellular matrix proteins, cytokines, and growth factors. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of chronic wounds, such as diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) and venous leg ulcers (VLUs), where it facilitates tissue remodeling and wound closure. Clinical studies have demonstrated high rates of full wound closure in patients treated with Amnioband compared to standard conservative therapy.
