Overview

**AmnioBlast** is a human amniotic membrane-based biologic product formulated as a micronized or injectable suspension derived from processed amniotic tissue, primarily used as a regenerative allograft for orthopedic and wound healing applications. It leverages the natural properties of amniotic membrane, including anti-inflammatory cytokines (e.g., IL-10, IL-1RA), growth factors (e.g., bFGF, EGF, PDGF, TGF-β), hyaluronic acid, and protease inhibitors (e.g., TIMPs), to promote tissue repair, reduce inflammation, inhibit fibrosis, and support epithelialization and cartilage regeneration. Developed for conditions like osteoarthritis, tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, and chronic wounds, it is injected intra-articularly or into soft tissues to stimulate endogenous healing without immunosuppression, though its use remains investigational for most indications per medical policies.[1][2][3]
