Overview

AmnioBurn is a dehydrated human amnion/chorion membrane (DHACM) tissue allograft used as a semi-permeable protective barrier and extracellular matrix scaffold to support healing of partial-thickness and full-thickness burns and other complex wounds. It is derived from donated human placental tissue and processed with MiMedx’s PURION method to preserve structural matrix components and more than 300 regulatory proteins that modulate inflammation, angiogenesis, and tissue repair while maintaining low immunogenicity and terminal sterility.[1][7][11] By providing a biocompatible human extracellular matrix and protective wound cover, AmnioBurn supports granulation tissue formation and the wound healing cascade in acute and chronic closures and is positioned as an advanced biologic dressing in burn and trauma care.[1][3][7][11]
