Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AmnioCyte is an amniotic membrane-derived human cell, tissue, and cellular and tissue-based product developed by Predictive Biotech for wound care and tissue repair applications. Rather than acting through a single defined molecular target like a conventional pharmaceutical, it is intended to provide a biologic tissue matrix and regenerative microenvironment that may support healing, tissue coverage, and repair in damaged or nonhealing tissue. It is best characterized as a placental tissue allograft product regulated within the HCT/P framework, not as a traditional small-molecule or biologic drug approved through the standard drug approval pathway.
