Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AMNIOEFFECT is a lyophilized, tri-layer human placental-based allograft membrane composed of amnion, intermediate layer, and chorion. It is processed using the patented PURION process to retain the intermediate layer and over 300 regulatory proteins. The product acts as a semi-permeable barrier that supports the healing cascade and provides a biocompatible human extracellular matrix (ECM), aiding in granulation tissue development for acute and chronic wound closures. AMNIOEFFECT is terminally sterilized for safety, easy to apply, compatible with negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) and hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), and can be sutured in place or used in deeper surgical sites. It is indicated for use across various surgical applications including amputations, complex incision management, dehiscence repair, tendon/ligament repair, exposed bone or hardware coverage, flaps, laminectomies, minimally invasive surgery procedures such as hysterectomy or endometriosis treatment[1][2][3][9].
