Overview
AmnioExcel Plus is a tri-layer human placental allograft composed of amnion, chorion, and amnion layers, developed by Integra LifeSciences for the management of complex and chronic wounds. It is processed using proprietary DryFlex technology to preserve the biological integrity of the tissue, including its extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins, growth factors, and cytokines, while allowing for room-temperature storage and easy handling. The membrane acts as a protective biological cover and scaffold that supports the body's natural healing processes in conditions such as diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) and venous leg ulcers. It is regulated in the United States as a Human Cell, Tissue, and Cellular and Tissue-Based Product (HCT/P) under Section 361 of the Public Health Service Act.
