Amnion-EnSC-AESC is an experimental regenerative cell therapy developed by Indonesia University for the treatment of infertility associated with a thin endometrium and Asherman's syndrome. The therapy, often referred to as a 'womb patch,' utilizes a 3D acellular amnion bilayer scaffold seeded with a co-culture of autologous endometrial stem cells (EnSC) and human amnion epithelial stem cells (hAESC). The goal of the treatment is to regenerate the endometrial histoarchitecture, increase endometrial thickness, and enhance receptivity by improving the expression of key genes such as HOXA10, LIF, and VEGF, thereby improving outcomes for patients undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF).
