Overview

Amniosin is a cell-free (decellularized) biological wound dressing derived from human amniotic membrane, developed and manufactured by Sinacell. It is prepared through extensive testing, decellularization, and sterilization processes to remove all cellular components while preserving the extracellular matrix (ECM) and various bioactive factors, including collagen, fibronectin, laminin, proteoglycans, and glycosaminoglycans. Amniosin is approved by the Iran FDA and is used as a biological scaffold to promote healing, reduce inflammation, and prevent scarring in ocular surface reconstruction (such as for bullous keratopathy, neurotrophic keratopathy, and pterygium repair surgery) as well as chronic wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers and severe burns.
