Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AmnioStem is an allogeneic, universal donor stem cell product composed of multipotent amniotic fetal stem cells derived from amniotic fluid. Developed by Creative Medical Technology Holdings (CMT) through a license from the University of California, San Diego, the platform is being evaluated for its regenerative and anti-inflammatory properties. The cells are believed to suppress pro-inflammatory cytokines, specifically TNF-alpha, which makes them a candidate for treating cancer-associated cachexia, stroke, and neurodegenerative disorders. Additionally, the company is exploring its potential in oncology, specifically for glioma, due to purported direct anti-cancer effects.
