Overview

This is a **combination therapy** of amorphous calcium carbonate (ACC) and denosumab. **Denosumab** is a human monoclonal antibody that binds to and inhibits RANKL (receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa-B ligand), leading to the suppression of osteoclast formation, function, and survival; this results in decreased bone resorption and increased bone mass and strength. **Amorphous calcium carbonate (ACC)** is a highly soluble, bioavailable form of calcium used as a dietary calcium supplement to correct or prevent hypocalcemia, often administered alongside antiresorptive treatments to support bone health and provide adequate substrate for mineralization. The combination is under investigation for postmenopausal osteoporosis and other bone loss conditions, with the rationale that ACC supplies readily absorbed calcium while denosumab inhibits bone resorption, potentially optimizing bone mineral density gains and reducing fracture risk.
