Overview

This is a combination of three pharmaceutical agents: - **Amoxicillin** is a broad-spectrum, beta-lactam antibiotic in the penicillin class that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial cell death. - **Clavulanic acid** is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that protects amoxicillin from degradation by beta-lactamase enzymes produced by resistant bacteria, thereby extending the antibacterial spectrum of amoxicillin[6][7]. - **Fluconazole** is an antifungal agent belonging to the triazole class. It works by inhibiting fungal cytochrome P450 enzyme 14α-demethylase, which disrupts ergosterol synthesis and impairs fungal cell membrane formation[2]. This combination would theoretically provide coverage against both susceptible bacterial and fungal pathogens. However, there are no widely recognized fixed-dose products or brand names for this exact triple combination; it may be used off-label in clinical scenarios where mixed infections (bacterial and fungal) are present or suspected.
