Overview

AMP-303 is a proprietary, innovative intradermal injectable formulation developed by Amplifica for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia (AGA), the most common form of hair loss. The drug is designed to stimulate dormant hair follicles, effectively "waking them up" and promoting new hair growth. Its mechanism involves signaling pathways that encourage vellus (fine) hairs to transition into non-vellus (thicker, terminal) hairs, resulting in increased hair density and thickness. In first-in-human clinical trials, a single cycle of AMP-303 led to statistically significant increases in non-vellus hair count compared to placebo at both 60 and 150 days post-treatment. The treatment has demonstrated a favorable safety profile with mostly mild adverse events similar to other intradermal injections. Developed by Amplifica Holdings Group Inc., the therapy represents a novel approach distinct from existing daily-use medications or surgical interventions for AGA[1][2][3][5][6].
