Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AMP-DNA is an investigational DNA vaccine developed using Elicio Therapeutics' proprietary Amphiphile (AMP) platform. The AMP technology involves the conjugation of a lipid tail to a DNA sequence, which allows the vaccine to bind to albumin upon injection. This binding facilitates the targeted delivery of the DNA payload directly to the lymph nodes, where immune responses are orchestrated. By concentrating the vaccine in the lymphatic system, AMP-DNA aims to enhance the activation of antigen-presenting cells and the subsequent induction of robust T cell responses compared to conventional DNA vaccines. The platform is designed to overcome the historical limitations of DNA vaccines, such as poor delivery and low immunogenicity, and is being explored for applications in oncology and infectious diseases.
