**AMP-X-0079** is a small molecule drug developed by Aurimmed Pharma, Inc. for the treatment of epilepsy and other central nervous system (CNS) disorders. It has demonstrated preclinical efficacy in terminating ongoing status epilepticus seizures induced by nerve agents within less than 15 minutes, preventing cognitive deficits, preserving spatial learning and memory, and providing neuroprotection in vivo according to NIH data. Additional studies show it improves motor coordination, grooming behavior, and induces recovery from MPTP-induced lesions in mouse models of Parkinson's disease-like symptoms, as well as activity in spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) in vitro models targeting SMN2 expression. The Epilepsy Foundation awarded it the Epilepsy Innovation Seal of Excellence for promising early-stage data from the NINDS Anticonvulsant Screening Program, and it is positioned as Aurimmed's lead antiepileptic candidate using their proprietary PSP platform.[1][2][3][4][5][7][9][10]
