Overview

AMP962 is a preclinical-stage small molecule inhibitor of focal adhesion kinase (FAK) being developed by Amplia Therapeutics. It is designed to target FAK, a non-receptor tyrosine kinase that is frequently overexpressed in various cancers and plays a critical role in fibrotic diseases and tumor microenvironment remodeling. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that AMP962 effectively reduces pY397-FAK levels in ovarian cancer cells in vitro and shows therapeutic efficacy in ovarian cancer xenograft models (such as TOV-21G). The drug is being investigated for the treatment of fibrotic diseases and cancers, including ovarian cancer.
