Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AMS-025 is a novel prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-targeted radiopharmaceutical developed for the diagnosis and potentially the treatment of prostate cancer. It is based on Sc-18F radiochemistry, utilizing a picaga chelator, which provides a single-molecule approach to construct a fluorine-18/lutetium-177 theranostic pair. The diagnostic version, [18F]AMS-025, is used as a PET imaging tracer and has demonstrated comparable diagnostic performance to [18F]PSMA-1007 in prostate cancer patients, with lower accumulation in the liver and spleen. The therapeutic counterpart, [177Lu]AMS-025, is being investigated for radioligand therapy. AMS-025 was developed by JYAMS PET Research & Development in collaboration with Chongqing DCAMS Pharmaceutical and Chongqing University Three Gorges Hospital.
