Overview

Bioinova's autologous mesenchymal stem cell (AMSC) therapy, specifically the MSC 3P suspension, is an investigational cell therapy developed for regenerative applications, including the treatment of degenerative disc disease and the enhancement of posterolateral spinal fusion. The product consists of mesenchymal stem cells harvested from the patient's own bone marrow, which are then expanded and processed. In clinical applications for spinal fusion, these cells are typically combined with a bone-conductive scaffold, such as beta-tricalcium phosphate, to provide a structural matrix for new bone formation. The therapeutic mechanism relies on the ability of MSCs to differentiate into osteoblasts and secrete a variety of trophic factors and cytokines that promote angiogenesis, reduce local inflammation, and stimulate the recruitment of endogenous progenitor cells to the site of injury.
