Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Amsten** is an oral fixed-dose antihypertensive and antianginal combination marketed by Stadmed. Each tablet contains amlodipine 5 mg, a dihydropyridine L-type calcium-channel blocker that reduces peripheral vascular resistance through arterial vasodilation, and atenolol 50 mg, a beta-1 adrenergic receptor blocker that lowers heart rate and cardiac workload. It is marketed for hypertension inadequately controlled with either component alone and for angina. ([stadmed-global.com](https://stadmed-global.com/upcp_product/amsten/))
