Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AMX-003 is a preclinical-stage monoclonal antibody being developed by Amyl Therapeutics as a pan-amyloid immunotherapy. It is designed to target and bind to the aggregated, pathogenic forms of both amyloid-beta (Aβ) and tau proteins, which are hallmark features of neurodegenerative pathology. By addressing multiple misfolded protein species simultaneously, AMX-003 aims to provide a more effective treatment for Alzheimer's disease and Alzheimer's disease associated with Down syndrome compared to therapies targeting a single protein.
