Overview

AMY-301 (also known as Compsorbin) is a preclinical-stage complement-targeted therapeutic being developed by Amyndas Pharmaceuticals. It is designed as a next-generation complement-regulating protein intended for the treatment of chronic inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. While specific structural details are proprietary, the molecule is part of Amyndas's portfolio of C3-targeted inhibitors, which are largely based on the compstatin scaffold or engineered fusion proteins that combine C3-binding moieties with regulatory domains (such as those from Factor H). By inhibiting the central complement component C3, AMY-301 aims to block all three pathways of complement activation (classical, lectin, and alternative), thereby reducing the downstream inflammatory cascade and tissue damage associated with complement-mediated pathologies.
